Introduction

The Plexus Law Aviation Team has a growing reputation within the Aviation Market.  We specialise in representing airports, dealing with GA claims and general liability claims related to the aviation industry.  Our objective is to combine technical expertise with excellent service to ensure resolution of claims cost effectively and expeditiously.  We typically deal with matters from first notification and where necessary we are able to defend litigation of behalf of underwriters which removes the need to transfer files to another organisation should legal proceedings arise.

The Aviation Team at Plexus Law are experts in defending both pre-litigation claims and litigation itself.  We deal with aviation claims in the UK and around the world (with the exception of the US).  The team is comprised of lawyers who have all passed the required legal examinations and have a range of experience.  Having a range of experience within the team is crucial to our success.   This enables us to deal with claims from the highest value and complexity right down to modest claims where underwriters do not need a Partner or a senior lawyer to do the majority of work.  This is reflected in the prices that we charge.

We offer a 'cradle to grave' service and are typically instructed when a claim is first initiated against an insured client.  We provide an alternative option to aviation underwriters who traditionally have not used law firms to deal with pre-litigation matters, particularly when a claim is modest in value.

The Plexus Law Aviation Team are experts in defending claims on behalf of airports.  We currently act on behalf of over 25 airports both UK and worldwide.  The majority of our instructions are to act on behalf of UK based airports but we are increasingly being instructed to represent aviation underwriters on claims where the insured airport is based overseas.  Most recently, we have acted on behalf of aviation underwriters in respect of claims against airports in Scandinavia, South America, mainland Europe and the Caribbean.

The Plexus Law Aviation Team is located in our Leeds office but are regularly in the City of London.  Jarrod Parker leads our Aviation Team and although he is based in our Leeds office he works each week in our City of London office at Peninsular House, near the Monument.  As such, Jarrod is always able to meet underwriters and brokers in the City when required.  This approach is cost effective and enables us to compete on price without having to sacrifice expertise or quality of service.
