IVF - Having been involved in the ground breaking area of claims resulting from IVF and other fertility treatments in the early 1990’s, the team have continued to be involved in the defence and resolution of a wide variety of fertility issues including post death use of sperm, embryo destruction, genetic testing of donor sperm as well as the more mainstream problems arising during fertility treatment.
Plastic and cosmetic claims - The team’s experience includes cosmetic and plastic surgery claims especially liposuction, breast surgery, facelift and eyelift surgery, nose reconstruction, penis enlargement and engorgement, laser and a wide variety of injected beauty products. High value claims have included the death of 36-year old female after tummy tuck surgery, near death of female following excessive swelling post face lift surgery.
Delay in diagnosis - The team has and continues to be involved in a wide variety of delay in diagnosis claims involving oncological issues such as cervical, prostrate and testicular cancer, as well as paediatric meningitis and claims involving schizophrenia and aspergers syndrome.
Gynaecological, Obstetric & Paediatric claims - Involving complications and even death following aternal pre-eclampsia, laparoscopy complications including bowel perforation, hysterectomy and urological issues. Paediatric claims involving kidney failure, cerebral palsy, and negligent infant screening (genetic and haematological).
Psychiatric claims - Involving illegal retention of mental health patients, suicide attempts of both psychiatric in patient and out patients, misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatment claims.
